What It Is
A dam made of soft dough is built around the neck (cervical) region, and warm medicated oil is poured inside and kept at a steady temperature for a sustained, localized treatment.
Who It's For
Commonly sought for chronic neck stiffness, cervical spondylosis-related discomfort, and general neck tension — a frequent concern for our older patients. Many clients also seek it to support neck mobility, ease muscle spasm, improve local circulation, and ease numbness associated with nerve compression.
What to Expect During Your Session
- You'll lie face-up or seated while the dough well is built around the neck.
- Warm oil is poured in and topped up to stay warm for 20–30 minutes.
- Showers aren't available on-site — plan to keep the oil on for a few hours and shower once home.
Preparation & Aftercare
Avoid strenuous neck movement immediately after. Keep the area warm for the rest of the day.
Contraindications
Discuss with your physician if you have a cervical spinal implant, recent neck surgery, or an active skin condition on the neck.
